Welfare

Welcome to the Cricket Wales and Glamorgan County Cricket Club Welfare pages.  Both CW & GCCC are committed to providing safe and welcoming environments for everyone within our game.

“Cricket Wales has for many years strived to improve and develop safeguarding operationally within our game.  Working with our strong voluntary network and our dedicated staffing team we have come a long way - but we recognise there is always more work that can be done.

We will continue to prioritise our duty, as guardians of the game in Wales, to develop the safest cricketing environments for children and adults across the country, and with the cricket communities’ support, we will continue to make a difference for everyone in our game”.

Leshia Hawkins, CEO, Cricket Wales.

“Glamorgan County Cricket Club is proud to be working with the ECB, Cricket Wales and the recreational game in providing the safest possible environment for cricketers not just representing Glamorgan, but across The Pathway.  We are committed to meeting, indeed exceeding minimum safeguarding standards for every player, spectator or visitor”.

Hugh Morris, CEO, Glamorgan County Cricket Club”.

There is a mandatory expectation that every club affiliated to Cricket Wales has a dedicated Club Welfare Officer (CWO).  The CWO will receive support from League Welfare Officers and the Cricket Wales staffing team.
